Background:

The IT Reorganization Design project scope for a large health system included the identification of future needs, the creation of the future vision/mission, assessment of current IT organization capabilities, the go forward organizational structure and the recommended implementation plan.

Goals:

  • Enable the organization to respond to the ever-increasing number and complexity of technology projects supporting the entire health system.

Accomplishments / Benefits:

  • Designed, developed and delivered multiple items including Case for Action, Vision/Values, Critical Success Factors, Operational Model (Plan/Build/Run), go-forward organizational model; Skills Review of top managerial level; go-forward job descriptions, transition plans and implementation plans
  • IT is now structured to enhance its delivery services and create stronger, trusted advisor customer relationships. Additional processes have been implemented to increase its turn around cycle for ticket resolution. Its leadership team has an increased understanding of what required during change implementations and an enhanced sense of team.
