Background:

Client was planning to move their headquarters location several miles away and decided to implement telecommuting as an option to soften the impact on employees. Since this work arrangement would be new to managers and employees, the client sought PPT’s expertise in both change enablement and in working and managing effectively in remote situations.

Goals:

  • Provide managers with insights and tools to set expectations, manage performance and ensure that employees remain productive and well-connected as they transition to a telecommuting arrangement
  • Provide employees anticipating a telecommuting arrangement with tips on how to set up a productive home office and routine and tools for clarifying expectations and being accountable for good communications and results

Accomplishments / Benefits:

  • Course materials were developed and multiple training sessions held with excellent feedback from participants
  • A workshop was held with the Executive Team to review the course content , provide a forum for discussion and enable senior leadership to reinforce the telecommuting program and concepts throughout the organization
