Background:

A mid-sized Private Label Juice Manufacturer sought to evaluate technology that would streamline laboratory and mix processes as well as standardize and improve data management. Specifically, the client was looking to move from a shared folder based document repository for formulations and tracking to a systems based approach that would facilitate visibility and more rapid ingredient search capabilities. PPT was engaged to define specific requirements for the technology and facilitate the initial steps of a software selection process for a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Goals:

  • Define critical Requirements for the Software Solution
Identify viable Software options based on Requirements and Issue Request for Information (RFI)
  • Facilitate introductory Software Demonstrations for the purposes of educating the User of the “potential”
  • Identify efficiency and cost savings opportunities that could result from LIMS Implementation

Accomplishments / Benefits:

  • Documented Requirements, Scripted Introductory Demonstrations and Issued Request for Information (RFI)
  • Facilitated and moderated Introductory Demonstrations
  • Developed a Cost Benefit Analysis for LIMS Implementation
