Background:

A Commercial Property & Casualty and Management & Professional Liability Insurance company with over $2B in written premiums sought to select an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that would support the Finance and Accounting Department. The client was planning to move from a legacy system to a more integrated enterprise system and PPT was engaged to drive a systematic, requirements-based evaluation in order to allow the client to reach a decision.

Goals:

  • Identify critical Requirements for the new system
  • Drive a requirements-based analysis of possible systems
  • Document the fact-based client software choice

Accomplishments / Benefits:

  • Worked with Client Project Team to define all Software Requirements
  • Developed and distributed a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) to software finalists
  • Built “Day in the Life” Software Demonstration Scripts and facilitated scored Software Demonstrations
  • Facilitated Client Reference Checks
  • Facilitated Client Selection and supported the development of a Total Cost of Ownership and Return on Investment model. Also conducted initial Vendor Negotiations on behalf of the Client
