BACKGROUND

Through subsidiaries, our client operates natural gas and electric utilities in the US, distributes propane both domestically and internationally, manages midstream assets, and engages in energy marketing. The Client has experienced significant growth over the last 10 years, largely through acquisition. To date, business units have operated autonomously. With disparate systems, processes, and ways of working it has been difficult to leverage resources and consolidate information. They recognize that to continue to grow and meet investor expectations, the organization must evolve as a brand and in key areas consolidate systems, processes, and information.  The implementation of SAP Success Factors is a first step in this direction.

GOALS

  • Consolidate Human Resource systems to provide a single point of truth for managing human capital
  • Definition of global human resource business processes, utilizing best practice to reduce manual steps (i.e. automated workflow, advanced reporting and analytics)
  • Provide the infrastructure needed to deliver human capital services that allow UGI to attract, hire, and retain talent
  • Implement a payroll system in the United State to replace current payroll option (which has an end of life in early 2019)

ACCOMPLISHMENTS & BENEFITS

  • Definition and scoping of Change Management resource requirements for the project, including change resource plan, change project plan, change role descriptions, candidate screening, interviews and selection, and onboarding
  • Assisted in definition of governance structure, project team governance infrastructure, and project launch
  • Definition of Guiding Principles with Executive Leadership Team and initial documentation of Future State and Success Metrics
  • Stakeholder Analysis, Communication Approach, project branding, initial project messaging
