BACKGROUND

Client is the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center founded in 1884. As of today, they are one of the 51 National Cancer Institute–designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers. They utilize Workday as their HRIS system and due to the employee first culture, many enhancements were needed to efficiently manage current business processes. The focus was on implementing a new Absence Plan design along with a new disability vendor while enhancing their Short-Term and Long-Term Disability benefits for all employees.

GOALS

  • Lead client through the entire implementation of the new disability vendor
  • Implement the Absence Plan design through coordination and testing with various functional teams such as Payroll, IS and HRIS
  • Migrate current Absence Plan benefits to a Legacy Bank for existing employees to ensure a smooth transition
  • Work closely with the Change Management Team to ensure employees are aware and onboard with the new changes

ACCOMPLISHMENT & BENEFIT

  • Developed and managed a Project Plan to guide client through all phases of the implementation such as requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment
  • Successfully migrated all current Absence Plan benefits into a Legacy Bank for existing employees and deployed a new solution for all new hires
  • Transitioned client to a new short-term disability vendor and managed end-to-end testing and data integrations
  • Tested the new Absence Plan design and new earning codes in Workday in coordination with the Time and Payroll teams to ensure no issues in the eligibility and payment amounts to the employees
